On the 13th July, three New South Wales Planning Commissioners are making a final determination about whether yet another coal terminal should be approved in Newcastle.
This is one of our last remaining opportunities to have input into the planning assessment of this project, and we need your help to make it count. This is the best chance we have left to prevent T4 from getting its approval and our best opportunity to act to protect community health, our environment, our climate and our region.
Anyone can speak at the Public Hearing. You do not have to have previously made a submission to speak, nor do you need to have spoken at the Review PAC. We are hearing from people all over the state who are coming to Newcastle to have their say. All you need to do is register, and you will be allowed give a 5-10 minute presentation on your concerns about the proposal.
1. Contact the Planning Assessment Commission.
To register to present to the public hearing, simply:
PHONE Aaron Brown on (02) 9383 2112 or EMAIL email@example.com with your name and phone number
2. Please let us know below if you have registered to speak at the T4 Determination PAC by filling in the form below.
This will help us to make sure you are kept up to date on all of the community preparations including organising meetings, a presentation workshop and the community demonstration out the front of the hearing.
3. RSVP for our Presentation Workshop on July 11th
We will be holding a group workshop to help you prepare your presentation - the CTAG team want to make sure that everyone gets their say, and that we present the strongest possible case against T4 to the Commission.
4. Come along to the Public Hearing and show your support.
Public hearings are open to the public so everyone is welcome to attend. It is not necessary to register to attend the public hearing, only those wishing to speak must register.
